Rod Stewart

“Rarely has a singer had as full and unique a talent as Rod Stewart — a
writer who offered profound lyricism and fabulous self-deprecating humor,
teller of tall tales and honest heartbreaker, he had an unmatched eye for
the tiny details around which lives turn, shatter, and reform — and a
voice to make those details indelible. His solo albums were defined by two
special qualities: warmth, which was redemptive, and modesty, which was
liberating. If ever any rocker chose the role of everyman and lived up to
it, it was Rod Stewart.”

Blue Rodeo

The definition of a rebel is someone who goes against the grain.  For close to thirty years now, Blue Rodeo has taken the road less travelled – and succeeded far beyond anyone’s expectations.  The band emerged in the early 80’s as a countrified rock band in the era of hair metal and glossy pop.  Their single “Try” became omni-present on radio across Canada and set in motion a three decade long career of headlining every club, theatre and arena in Canada.  In 1993, their most acoustic album, Five Days In July, scored their biggest hit selling over a half million copies of that one record alone. In the beginning critics scrambled to describe Blue Rodeo’s sound, comparing them to everyone from The Flying Burrito Brothers to the Eagles and The Beatles. Today, Blue Rodeo is compared to no one.  Ever-evolving, it is a testament to Blue Rodeo’s creativity that the band can endure a lifetime of challenges and continue to make music that all Canadians can call their own.

Sass Jordan

Juno Award-winning artist Sass Jordan has made a living singing, performing, writing and recording music internationally for the past thirty years. She is an internationally recognized singer/songwriter who has sold over one million CDs worldwide.

Winner of Billboard’s Best Female Rock Vocalist award, the bilingual Montrealer has toured and/or worked with many music heavyweights, including Aerosmith, Alice Cooper, Cheap Trick, Van Halen, Carlos Santana and Joe Cocker.

In 1992, Jordan performed a duet with Joe Cocker for the soundtrack of the motion picture The Bodyguard, starring Whitney Houston and Kevin Costner, which sold more than 27 million copies worldwide. Her songs have been featured on numerous television shows, including Melrose Place, Party Of Five, Baywatch and Knightrider.

The Navigators

The Navigators are one of Newfoundland’s most energetic and entertaining new Celtic groups made up of several of the island’s well-known musicians. Since forming in November 2000, they have become one of the hardest working bands in the province and are now playing regularly in Nova Scotia and New Brunswick. Members of the band include: Fred Jorgensen (Tin Whistles, Bodhran and Vocals), Arthur O’Brien (Electric/Acoustic Guitars and Vocals), Ian Chipman (Bass and Vocals) and Paul Murphy (Drums). With original songs, accapella, instrumental numbers, ballads andshanties the band has created their own sound that is suitable for a variety of shows from rock concerts to soft-seat auditoriums, from folk festivals to conferences or from pubs to parties. The band is always guaranteed to both give and have a good time.

A legend in the local music scene, Timber received international fame when Jennifer Love Hewitt’s Fox Television show “Time of your Life” showcased singles like “Foundering” and “Pretentious” from their debut album. Lead singer Billy Hickey’s rich tones, alongside the clean and purposeful arrangements create an inviting and almost engulfing presence.
